Here at DYM Medical Clinic Indonesia we offer a variety of tests.
There are also tests that aren’t listed here but are available in our clinic.
So please don’t hesitate to ask us about any test you might want to take. If you’re unsure which test to take, we recommend consulting with our doctors.
Influenza Examination
Influenza is a seasonal epidemic caused by viruses, classified into types A, B, and C. High fever, fatigue, muscle aches, sore throat, and cough are common symptoms and can become severe. Special attention is needed during an epidemic, as it can be life-threatening for the elderly and those with weakened immune systems.
In Japan, influenza occurrences are seasonal, peaking in the winter. On the other hand, Indonesia is a tropical country, meaning there is less seasonal variation, making influenza occur consistently throughout the year.

Flu tests are available for type A and type B influenza.
Samples from the nose and throat are collected to detect surface proteins of the virus.
Results are usually obtained within 15 to 30 minutes. The most common site for collecting samples is through the nose, but specimens can also be taken from the throat.
Streptococcus Examination
Streptococcus infections are caused by the bacteria Streptococcus pyogenes, which infects the mucous membranes of the throat.
This infection, commonly known as ‘ischemia,’ can cause sore throats, fevers, swollen tonsils, or white spots.
Patients typically complain of pain and discomfort in the pharynx.
As symptoms progress, coughing and discomfort in other parts of the body may occur. Proper treatment with antibiotics is crucial for this disease.

Rapid tests for streptococcus are conducted by collecting samples from the throat or oral cavity to detect antibodies.
Results are usually obtained within 15 to 30 minutes.
The most common site for collecting samples are from the throat or oral cavity, but specimens can also be taken from the back of the throat.
Adenovirus Examination
Qualitative antigen tests are primarily used for the diagnosis of adenovirus.
Samples are taken from the throat, conjunctiva of the eye, and feces according to the existing symptoms.
Results are usually obtained within 5 to 10 minutes. To identify the type of virus, PCR testing and other methods are required.

Rapid adenovirus tests are conducted by taking samples from the nose or throat to detect antigens.
Results are usually obtained within about 15 to 30 minutes after sample collection.
Common sampling sites are from the nose or throat.
Drug addiction Examination
Rapid drug detection tests are conducted by taking samples from urine or saliva to detect specific drugs or their metabolites.
Results are usually obtained within a few minutes to several tens of minutes after sample collection.
Common sampling sites are from urine for urine tests and from the oral cavity for saliva tests.
